Notecard components:
1. Copied & pasted text: Paste a relevant passage (no more than a paragraph or so) to reference later. You may draw a direct quote from this passage, or paraphrase the information.
2. In your own words: Restate the main idea of the text you copied and pasted. Put it into language you understand.
3. Original thinking, or "How might I use this?": Reflect on the passage. Where in your paper or project does this piece of information fit? Is this something you definitely want to mention? Is there something missing? Do you still have questions about it?
