Topic Portal

LGBTQ+ Rights Movement - Topic portal from U.S. History in Context with a basic overview and many different kinds of associated content.

Newspapers

The New York Times - 1985-present.

The Boston Globe - 1980-present.

Encyclopedia Britannica

Britannica School - A good source for basic information! Select "High."

Boston Public Library

You can broaden your search even more using the Boston Public Library's online resources. All you need to do is sign up for an e-card (which you're able to do as a resident of Massachusetts) - if you're stuck, check out our guide to doing that here.

Database Tips

Use advanced search to search multiple keywords at once, and broaden or narrow your search. AND will add a keyword, OR will substitute a keyword, and NOT will exclude a keyword.

If you'd like to save an article to read elsewhere, you have a few options: using "Send" at the top of the article, you can email it to yourself or send it to your Google Drive account (if you're logged in). You can also print the article out.
