Library Orientation: Website

Have a question about how to use the library? You'll find the answer here!

Important Pages

Look around the website! Here are a few important parts, also linked on the homepage:

  • Research Guides - These are created to help you with your research projects for class. Every useful resource for each project will be in each guide. As you can see on the page, these guides are sorted by subject, then the project's title.
  • Databases - A list of every database SHHS has access to for research purposes. See more in the Databases tab of this guide.
  • Catalog - Use this to look up where to find a book in the library. See more in the Books tab of this guide.

Citations Help

For all your source-citing needs, your librarian recommends MyBib. It's a free site that walks you through creating a citation. It also prepares a properly formatted Works Cited page for you to copy and paste or download!

The library's website also has its own brief guide to creating citations in both MLA and APA formats, including examples of commonly cited sources.
